The Chair oversees the sports groups in aerobics, cheerleading, basketball, sport orienteering, mountain, water and foot tourism, rock-climbing, football and navigation. The 350 students practicing them take part in district, city, regional and national competitions. Some DITB students are athletes with professional ratings. Two are Masters of Sport, five are Candidates for Masters of Sports, 27 students have a first rank, 10 students have a second rank, twelve students have a third rank.

During the period 2000-2007 members of the Chair have published 3 methodological and 16 scientific works.
